This comprehensive two-day program equips managers and supervisors with the essential knowledge and practical skills to manage employee discipline effectively and lawfully in accordance with the Sarawak Labour Ordinance.
The first day focuses on progressive discipline — a structured process for addressing job-related behaviour that falls short of expected and communicated performance standards. Guided by the Facilitator, author of “Attitude + Behaviour = Character”, participants will explore a practical progressive discipline framework that helps managers provide timely feedback, corrective action, and opportunities for improvement before formal disciplinary measures become necessary.
When progressive discipline does not achieve the desired results, the second day transitions to the formal disciplinary process, including the conduct of a Domestic Inquiry (DI). Participants will gain a clear understanding of legal requirements, procedural fairness, documentation standards, and best practices for conducting a DI in compliance with the Sarawak Labour Ordinance.
