OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH COORDINATOR (OSH-C), 3 - 4 June 2025_Kota Kinabalu

INTRODUCTION

With the increasing number of workplace accidents across various industries in Malaysia, ensuring compliance with occupational safety and health (OSH) regulations has become a critical priority. The nation faces significant challenges in monitoring OSH requirements and addressing workers’ safety and health issues, particularly in small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

In response, the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), under the SME Strategic Plan 2020, has set a target to increase the number of competent OSH practitioners in Malaysia. To achieve this, DOSH introduced the role of the Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator (OSH-C), a key initiative aimed at strengthening the implementation and monitoring of OSH requirements in the workplace.

The OSH-C serves as the representative of safety practitioners within the industry, bridging the gap between management and regulatory bodies. By undergoing this training, participants will be equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies to fulfill this crucial role effectively, thereby contributing to a safer, healthier, and more compliant workplace environment.
