NAVIGATING THE MACC ACT: SECTION 17A, CORPORATE LIABILITY, AND WHISTLEBLOWER PROTECTION, 10-11 February 2026_Kuala Lumpur

INTRODUCTION

This practical program equips participants with essential knowledge of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act, the Corporate Liability provision under Section 17A, and the latest legal updates on whistleblower protection. With corruption risks evolving rapidly, organisations must act decisively to identify, prevent, and mitigate wrongdoing.

Participants will understand the impact of Section 17A — including Corporate and deemed Personal Liability for Directors, Senior Management, and Heads of Department — and how to implement robust “Adequate Procedures” to protect both the organisation and its leaders.

Crucially, the workshop will cover the recent amendments to the Whistleblower Protection Act 2010, which strengthen protection for individuals who report misconduct. Organisations that fail to align internal policies with these legal changes risk exposure to severe penalties, reputational damage, and regulatory scrutiny.

This session is designed for organisations that want to stay ahead of the law, safeguard their people, and embed effective anti-corruption and whistleblowing practices immediately.
