INTRODUCTION

This course is designed to ensure electrical safety of workers at the workplace by designing, installing, operating, and maintaining equipment with safety and efficient maintenance which is of prime importance. The workplace installation electrical power system should be of safe and efficient design, construction, operation, and maintenance in compliance with local Electricity Act and Regulations including compliance to safe work procedures and reliable operation of equipment to prevent workplace accidents. Course topics include introduction to electrical power system for electrical installation requiring design, construction, operation, maintenance & troubleshooting of electrical power system.

Upon course completion participants will have the ability to understand electrical power system & identify installation construction to ensure a Safe & Efficient Workplace Installation.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

By the end of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the fundamental principles of electrical power systems, including voltage, current, resistance, and power relationships.
  • Develop the ability to read and interpret electrical power and control circuits for safe equipment operation.
  • Recognize common electrical equipment faults and apply basic troubleshooting techniques to resolve them.
  • Apply proper electrical protection methods using devices such as MCB, MCCB, and other protection systems.
