EFFECTIVE PLANT SAFETY AUDIT

Introduction

One of the methods of ensuring compliance to Occupational Safety and Health Standards, such as OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001 is by conducting a plant audit. This activity will create an awareness on the level of Occupational Safety and Health in which the plant is . Through this method, the management can measure safety performance of the organization. Therefore, one of the yardsticks used to determine the effectiveness of safety, health and welfare at work area is by creating a platform for audit.  The program is also conducted by the management to demonstrate commitment to the Safety and Health Management system in which actually focus on the broader aspects of safety and health issues.

Occupational Safety and Health training will help the organizations to prepare themselves for any visit by the authorities, especially the Department of Occupational Safety and Health as well auditors or by the customers who pay importance to safety and health. Effective Occupational Safety and Health Plant Audit is an awareness program is also to facilitate identification of hazards, after which corrective actions can be implemented quickly and effectively. Conducting safety audits will ensure compliance to the legal requirement namely the Factory and Machinery Act 1967 and Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994.

This training will facilitate and apply safety accountability components and methods to adopt, embrace and promote Occupational Safety procedures and standards including compliance to OHSAS 18000 standards, ISO 45001, Occupational Safety and Health Legislations or customer requirements.
