The purpose of the training on Managing an Effective, Occupational Safety and Health Committee is to assist management in providing a safe workplace. The committee members, being active safety advocates, can accomplish this. Acting as the liaison between the workers and management, committee members work to ensure a cooperative effort to improve safety in the workplace. A well-trained OSH Committee is a very valuable tool to help management provide a safe workplace for the employees and improve the bottom line of any company, large or small.
This training program is aimed to give the basic understanding of Occupational Safety and Health management as well as Legislations related to Occupational Safety and Health. It will enlighten the participants on the new Occupational Safety and Health (Amendment) Act 2022. Apart of explaining the new statutory requirements, it will also cover the need and the role of the Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator.

There will be emphasis made to roles and responsibility of Employer, Employee, Manufacturer, principal and OSH Coordinator. The new penalties involving the management will also be discussed.
