Facilities management is a complex and systematic business disciplines that encompassing the effective management of assets, facilities & infrastructure, space usability, human resources and organization. It is associated with the management and administration activities for office block buildings, arenas, commercial buildings, industries, educational buildings, sports complexes, hospitals, hostels etc. The process of planning and implementation of activities related to the formation of management strategies in ensuring the stability and excellence of the performance of building facilities. The asset and facilities management team must consist of employees who are trained and knowledgeable in performing management work professionally in accordance with the methods and procedures that have been established and recognized by the authorities related to the needs of building facilities management.

This module is expected to provide information to participants who would be able to gain some of the crucial aspects of knowledge and skills in the field of business needs, readiness and effectiveness of asset operations, cost control and users’ comfort as those are parts of the needs of all parties that cannot be separated in daily life and affairs. This is where functional performance and consumer requirements will be thought and discussed. Throughout the session, discussion will further scrutinise and on the following aspects:
