Out of 5139 cases reported on Occupational Disease and Poisoning in 2018, 4506 cases were on Occupational Noise Related Hearing Disorders. In 2017, 4787 out of 6020 cases reported (by DOSH Malaysia)

This rampant occurrence led DOSH to come up with the Noise Exposure Regulation in 2019. The Occupational Safety and Health (Noise Exposure) Regulations 2019 (‘New Regulations’) were gazetted on 1 March 2019 and taken effect on 1 June 2019. The New Regulations will impose obligations on the employer to take measures to safeguard his employees from exposure to excessive noise in the workplace. The course covers the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and the Factory and Machinery Act 1967 including all the regulations. The course also covers topics on the newly implemented Regulation on Notification of Accident, Dangerous Occurrence, Occupational Poisoning and Occupational Disease Regulations 2004 and CLASS Regulations 2013  changes in the Factory and Machinery Act ( Special Scheme of Inspection ) ( Risk Based Inspection ) Regulations 2014 and the latest changes i.e. FMA (Noise Exposure ) Regulations 2019.

Person undergoing this training is a very valuable tool to help management provide a safe workplace for the employees and improve the bottom line of any company, large or small.      This course will also help Management and employees carry out their responsibilities in line with the Legislation.
