The Companies Bill 2015 has received Royal Assent on 31 August 2016 and has been gazetted on 15 September 2016 as the Companies Act 2016. This has replaced the old Companies Act 1965. This new act is expected to bring much needed revolution to the corporate landscape in Malaysia, in line with the modern international standards.
